Starbucks Korea has transformed a 1960s-era house in Jangchung-dong, Jung-gu, central Seoul into a new Starbucks Reserve Roastery, which is set to open on Thursday. This marks the company's 10th special store in celebration of the 10th anniversary of Starbucks Reserve. The renovated space, spanning the lower ground, first and second floors, as well as a terrace, can accommodate up to 180 customers and features seven distinct themed areas on the ground floor, including a lounge and music room. The original features of the old house have been preserved, creating an atmosphere reminiscent of the 1960s to 1980s, with vintage elements like doorbells, stairs, and lamps contributing to the antique interior. In addition to the existing Starbucks Reserve menu items, the new store will introduce the Mixology Bar, offering 11 mixology drinks that combine alcohol with Starbucks espresso, cafe latte, or cold brew. A Starbucks official noted that the Jangchung-dong store is designed for customers to appreciate Starbucks's coffee heritage, providing a unique and nostalgic experience for visitors.
