TikTok to launch global K-pop competition ‘Time Turner’


TikTok is gearing up to launch its inaugural K-pop girl group competition called "Time Turner" in November, with the collaboration of Pi Corp. and MakeStar. This real-time audition show will take place in the space-time realm of "P-314," offering aspiring dreamers the chance to pursue their dreams through time travel. The ultimate winners, who will be determined by global live audience voting on TikTok, will debut as the K-pop girl group Time Turner. Their focus will be on creating new music and art through unique time-travel experiences, while also gaining opportunities in the global music market such as contracts with distribution companies, management deals, album and music video releases, fan meetings, concerts, and participation in TikTok's annual Live Fest event for creators. Applications for "Time Turner" are open until September 18, and auditions are welcome for women aged 19 and above from any part of the world, as long as they possess creative sensibilities and big dreams. The first stage will commence in October, with participants engaging with audiences worldwide through TikTok Life starting in November.
