[Today’s K-pop] Blackpink logs 1.7b views with dance video

According to YG Entertainment, Blackpink's performance video for "How You Like That" has reached 1.7 billion views on YouTube, marking the group's first dance video and fourth overall to achieve this milestone. The video has become the first of its kind from a K-pop artist to reach such a high number of views. The success of the video comes as the group's music video for "How You Like That" surpassed 1.3 billion views on the platform, making it their sixth video to hit this mark. In addition, Blackpink's album "The Album" debuted at No. 59 on Billboard's Hot 100, with a No. 2 position on the Billboard 200. The group is set to return next year with a world tour, while Jennie is preparing to release a solo single next month. On a different note, Boynextdoor's third EP titled "19.99" debuted at No. 40 on the Billboard 200 chart, marking their highest position on the main albums chart to date. The album, part of the band's "first love" series along with previous EPs "Why ..." and "How?", was released earlier this month and sold over 750,000 copies in the first week. The group will kick off an Asia tour in mid-December, starting with a two-date concert in Incheon and traveling to 13 cities across Asia, including six in Japan.
