[Today’s K-pop] Blackpink’s Lisa to drop new single next week


Lisa from Blackpink surprised her fans by revealing her upcoming solo single during her performance at the Global Citizen Festival in New York. She headlined the event alongside Post Malone and Doja Cat, showcasing songs from her solo repertoire including "Lalisa," "Money," "Rockstar," and "New Woman." Additionally, she previewed a new track titled "Moonlit Floor," set to be released on October 4, which samples Sixpence None the Richer's hit song "Kiss Me." The lyrics of the new song sparked speculation about her relationship with Frederic Arnault, leading to further interest among fans. On the other hand, K-pop group Itzy released a teaser video for their upcoming ninth EP titled "Gold," featuring each member showcasing their individual styles and interests. The EP will contain 11 tracks, with "Gold" and "Imaginary Friend" serving as the main tracks. Scheduled for release on October 15, this EP marks a new chapter for Itzy, with the group planning a livestream event and fan meetup in Seoul on November 2.
