[Today’s K-pop] Le Sserafim cracks Billboard’s Hot 100

Le Sserafim's latest track "Crazy" has jumped to No. 76 on Billboard's Hot 100, marking their second appearance on the chart after "Easy" debuted at No. 99 in March. Notably, Le Sserafim and Illit are the only two K-pop girl groups to make the chart this year. "Crazy" is the lead single from the group's fourth EP, which also achieved success by debuting at No. 7 on Billboard 200 and entering the UK's Official Singles Chart Top 100 at No. 83. The group has flown to New York to be part of the 2024 MTV Video Music Awards' Pre-Show. Meanwhile, Riize, under SM Entertainment, has secured the top spot on Japan's Oricon's Weekly Single Ranking with their debut single "Lucky." The single also claimed No. 1 on Billboard Japan's weekly Top Single Sales chart. The single consists of three tracks, one of which, "Same Key," served as an original soundtrack for the Japanese drama "Makeup with Mud." On the other hand, Boynextdoor's third mini album "19.99" experienced a record-breaking first-day sales of almost 610,000 copies, surpassing the first-week sales of their previous EP. Most of the featured songs made it to Melon's Top 100. Lastly, NCT's Doyoung will conclude his first solo tour with an encore concert in Seoul, following successful concerts across Asia.
