[Today’s K-pop] NCT’s Jaehyun to enlist in November: report


Jaehyun of NCT is set to begin his mandatory military service on November 4 as a member of the Army band, with his discharge expected in May 2026. SM Entertainment confirmed his enlistment, revealing that he applied for the military band and was accepted. This news comes after the recent release of his first solo album "J," which saw success with the main track "Smoke" topping a television music chart. Additionally, Jaehyun is gearing up for his silver screen debut in the movie "You Will Die in 6 Hours" next month. Xdinary Heroes, under JYP Entertainment, will be dropping their fifth EP titled "Live and Fall" on October 14. The band shared the news with fans at their concert in Seoul, which marked the conclusion of their 15-concert project "Closed beta." The band's upcoming standalone concert in Seoul from November 15-17 has already sold out, following the success of their previous home concerts. Their last album was the studio album "Troubleshooting" released in April, with several digital singles released since then. At their recent concert, they performed "iNSTEAD!" with guest artist Yoon Dohyun.
