World K-Pop Center: Where K-pop dreams take flight

In Seoul, at the World K-Pop Center, a group of six Chinese trainees are training rigorously for their upcoming debut as a K-pop girl group scheduled for mid-November. Out of the original 17 trainees selected through a highly competitive audition process in China, only a few will make it through the final rounds in Korea. The trainees, aged between 18 and 23, have varying backgrounds and dreams of becoming K-pop idols, with the World K-Pop Center offering them a unique opportunity to pursue their aspirations despite challenges faced in their home country. The World K-Pop Center, unlike major entertainment companies, aims to promote and localize K-pop through its global audition project "Click the Star," which plans to launch 32 girl groups from different countries. These groups will perform under the franchise name BlingOne, with each country's name attached, emphasizing both cultural diversity and unity within the K-pop genre. The Center's focus on globalizing K-pop education, collaborating with institutions like Kukkiwon and the King Sejong Institute, sets it apart as an international educational hub rooted in Korean culture, with a vision to support the worldwide spread of K-pop.
