Yogiyo begins robot delivery service for 1st time as food delivery app

Yogiyo, a South Korean food delivery app, has recently introduced the country's first robot delivery service in the Songdo district of Incheon, marking a significant milestone in the industry. The self-driving delivery robots are designed to operate within a 1.2-kilometer radius from participating restaurants, with plans for nationwide expansion in the future. These robots are capable of delivering food to various locations such as apartment complexes, universities, and office buildings, and are equipped to slow down when detecting obstacles or pedestrians, adhering to related laws and safety measures. The introduction of this innovative delivery service represents a major advancement in the South Korean food delivery sector, and Yogiyo has collaborated with autonomous robot service provider Neubility to test and ensure the robots' self-driving capabilities. With a maximum speed of 5.76 km per hour, the robots are set to transform the food delivery experience, offering a convenient and efficient solution for customers and businesses alike.
