Yoon's approval rating sinks to lowest point since taking office: Realmeter poll

According to a recent survey conducted by Realmeter, President Yoon Suk Yeol's approval rating has hit a record low of 25.8 percent, marking the lowest level since he assumed office in 2022. The negative assessment of his performance has also surged to over 70 percent for the first time. The decline in Yoon's positive rating, dropping by 4.5 percentage points from the previous week, has been attributed to his unproductive dinner meeting with the ruling People Power Party leadership and the escalating factional disputes within the party. Furthermore, a separate survey by Realmeter revealed that support for the ruling People Power Party fell below 30 percent for the first time during Yoon's presidency, standing at 29.9 percent. In contrast, the main opposition Democratic Party saw an increase in approval ratings to 43.2 percent. These findings highlight a significant shift in public sentiment towards the ruling party and indicate growing dissatisfaction with President Yoon's leadership.
