"APT.," a new song released by Blackpink's Rose in collaboration with global superstar Bruno Mars, has achieved a significant milestone by ranking No. 4 on Britain's Official Singles Chart this week. This marks the highest-ever position attained by a K-pop female musician.
The song, which serves as a prerelease track for Rose's upcoming solo album, follows "Taste" by Sabrina Carpenter, "Sailor Song" by Gigi Perez, and "Die with a Smile" by Lady Gaga and Bruno Mars on the chart, which was released on Friday (local time).
"APT." is notable for being the first song by a female K-pop artist to reach the fourth-highest position on the chart, which reflects Britain's biggest songs of the week. Previously, "(It Goes Like) Nanana," a track by Korean DJ and music producer Peggy Gou, reached No. 5 on the chart last year.
Rose's first solo album, titled "Rosie," is scheduled for release on December 6 and will feature a total of 12 songs, including "APT."
The song is also anticipated to enter the US Billboard's main singles chart, the Hot 100, with the new rankings to be released next week.
