Blackpink's Jennie to release new single ‘Mantra’

Jennie, a prominent member of Blackpink and a successful solo artist, is set to make a highly anticipated comeback with her new single, "Mantra," on October 11. This marks her first return in a year since her last solo release, "You & Me," in October 2023, as confirmed by her agency, OA Entertainment. Jennie announced the news on her official website, offering fans the opportunity to presave the upcoming track on popular streaming platforms like Spotify and Apple Music. A preview of "Mantra" has been unveiled, showcasing a captivating melody. In addition to her upcoming single, Jennie previously collaborated with The Weeknd and Lily-Rose Depp on the track "One of the Girls," which served as the original soundtrack for the HBO series "The Idol." The song achieved over 1 billion streams on Spotify and made a significant impact on the Billboard Hot 100, maintaining a presence on the chart for 20 consecutive weeks. Jennie made history as the first Korean female solo artist to receive platinum certification from the Recording Industry Association of America, which signifies sales of at least 1 million units. Furthermore, Jennie's music video for her solo debut track, "Solo," surpassed 1 billion views on YouTube in April, establishing her as the first K-pop female solo artist to achieve this milestone. To enhance her international presence, Jennie recently partnered with Columbia Records in September, a prominent US label under Sony Music Entertainment known for representing global stars like Beyonce, Adele, and Harry Styles. Columbia Records has pledged robust support for Jennie's solo ventures, sparking excitement among fans who are speculating whether "Mantra" will mark Jennie's second solo entry on the Billboard Hot 100, following the success of "One of the Girls."
