[KH Explains] Hanwha Aerospace vies for Chunmoo export to Norway

Hanwha Aerospace is seeking to export its self-developed multiple rocket launch system, Chunmoo, to Norway as part of its strategy to expand its market presence in Europe. The company recently unveiled a life-sized Chunmoo at the Eurosatory defense show in Paris, signaling its interest in attracting more clients in Europe beyond Poland. By showcasing the product at the event, Hanwha Aerospace aims to capitalize on potential interest from participating countries and buyers, demonstrating confidence in advancing sales efforts for the Chunmoo system. In a bid to enhance its chances of securing contracts in Europe, Hanwha Aerospace has entered into a memorandum of understanding with Norway's Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace at the Eurosatory defense exhibition. The agreement focuses on strengthening cooperation between the two companies to provide advanced combat solutions for land platforms, including the Chunmoo system, in both the South Korean and Norwegian markets. This partnership underscores Hanwha Aerospace's commitment to expanding its presence in Europe and leveraging the expertise of Kongsberg Defense & Aerospace to offer cutting-edge defense solutions.
