Father Kim Haeil, a passionate cleric known for his hot temper and pursuit of justice, is set to return in the upcoming series "The Fiery Priest 2," premiering on November 8 on Disney+ Hotstar.
The series begins with a dramatic incident at Gudam Cathedral, where a young altar boy suffers a drug overdose during a memorial service. This event prompts Father Kim Haeil to launch an investigation into the local drug network, leading him to Busan. Disguising himself as a seminary teacher, he aims to uncover the truth behind an underground drug cartel that exploits society's vulnerable members.
"The Fiery Priest 2" features Kim Namgil as Kim Haeil, alongside Lee Hanee as prosecutor Park Kyoungsun and Kim Sungkyun as the bumbling detective Gu Daeyoung. The series is penned by Park Jaebeom and directed by Park Boram.
This new installment adds to Disney+ Hotstar's growing collection of APAC titles, including other police comedies such as "Seoul Busters," which follows a group of inept detectives who begin to improve their performance, and "Flex X Cop," which centers on the son of a wealthy conglomerate who joins the police's Violent Crimes Unit.
