The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on Tuesday its intention to send a delegation to the Philippines and Thailand to explore opportunities for cooperation in infrastructure and development.
The four-day trip, commencing on Tuesday, will be led by First Vice Land Minister Jin Hyun-hwan. The delegation aims to meet with officials from the land and transport ministries in Manila, as well as representatives from the Asian Development Bank, to discuss potential collaboration in relevant sectors.
In Thailand, the delegation will engage with officials from the Industrial Estate Authority of Thailand to review the details of a bilateral industrial complex development project and will also facilitate a roundtable discussion with South Korean business leaders.
"We plan to expand the participation of our companies in large-scale infrastructure projects promoted by the Philippine government and strengthen cooperation to ensure that Thailand's first Korean-style industrial complex development progresses smoothly," Jin stated.

국토교통부는 필리핀과 태국에 인프라 및 개발 관련 협력을 모색하기 위해 대표단을 파견할 계획이라고 화요일 발표했다.
화요일부터 시작되는 4일간의 여행 동안, 진현환 제1차관이 이끄는 대표단은 마닐라의 국토 및 교통부와 아시아개발은행 관계자들과 만나 관련 분야의 협력 방안을 논의할 예정이다.
태국에서는 대표단이 태국 산업단지청 관계자들과 만나 양국 간 산업 단지 개발 프로젝트의 세부사항을 논의하고, 현지의 한국 기업인들과 원탁회의를 개최할 계획이다.
진 차관은 "필리핀 정부가 추진하는 대규모 인프라 프로젝트에 우리 기업의 참여를 확대하고, 태국의 첫 한국형 산업단지 개발이 원활히 진행될 수 있도록 협력을 강화할 계획"이라고 말했다. (연합뉴스)
