Pressured by fans, troubled singer Seunghan leaves Riize for good

Seunghan has announced his permanent departure from K-pop group Riize, just two days after revealing he would rejoin the band. This decision follows a strong backlash from the fan community, known as Briize, regarding his return. In response, Wizard Production, the team managing Riize under SM Entertainment, issued an apology for the confusion caused by Seunghan's announcement. The directors acknowledged the importance of the group's unity and the support from fans, emphasizing their regret for not prioritizing the growth achieved by all six members of Riize, who have been active since Seunghan paused his activities last November due to a controversy. Despite the intention behind Seunghan's return to foster group growth and fan happiness, the announcement led to further confusion and distress among fans. Consequently, Seunghan decided to leave the group for the well-being of both Riize and its supporters. The directors respected his choice and expressed their commitment to support him in his future endeavors. Seunghan's initial return announcement had previously sparked significant protests from fans, including symbolic gestures like funeral wreaths stating "Riize is Forever Six" sent to SM Entertainment's headquarters.
