
Samsung Electronics unveiled its plan to integrate artificial intelligence into all major home appliances and mobile devices to deliver a more personalized and secure user experience at the Samsung Developer Conference. Celebrating a decade of the annual event, Vice Chairman and CEO Han Jong-hee introduced the company's "AI for All" vision, emphasizing the use of AI technology to enhance security and personalization across Samsung's product lines. The event, attended by around 3,000 developers, partners, and media, showcased Samsung's commitment to advancing AI technology for individualized user recognition and a cohesive user experience. To streamline user interactions, Samsung will unify the software of its key product categories under the name One UI in the upcoming year, with the beta version set to be available to developers by the end of this year. The company also pledged to provide software updates for its devices for up to seven years. Additionally, Samsung announced AI enhancements for its Bespoke appliances, including features like AI Vision Inside in refrigerators and AI Floor Detect in robot vacuum-mop cleaners. Upgraded Bixby voice assistance will enable users to control their smart home appliances more conveniently, while Tizen OS will leverage AI technology to offer smarter and more personalized experiences, such as optimizing audio levels during TV viewing and enhancing note-taking capabilities based on users' writing styles. Samsung's SmartThings platform will introduce Home Insight for improved home management controls by analyzing user data and device usage patterns in real-time. Through collaborations with smart key developers, Samsung aims to integrate SmartThings Door Lock function into Samsung Wallet by 2025, emphasizing open collaboration and enhancing security and privacy standards with the expansion of Knox Matrix to TVs and home appliances.
