US space firm SpaceX may launch its Starlink satellite internet services in South Korea next year, according to industry sources.
Sources report that the science ministry has notified the revisions of related regulations for Starlink's internet services.
Following a six-month period, the science ministry will initiate the approval process for a deal between SpaceX and its Korean unit, Starlink Korea.
Once all required processes are completed, SpaceX is expected to launch the satellite internet service in South Korea early next year.
Starlink provides high-speed, low-latency internet service to users globally through its low Earth orbit satellites.

소식통에 따르면, 과학기술정보통신부는 Starlink 인터넷 서비스와 관련된 규정 개정을 통보했다.
과학기술정보통신부는 6개월 후 SpaceX와 한국 자회사인 Starlink Korea 간의 계약 승인 절차를 시작할 예정이다.
모든 절차가 완료되면 SpaceX는 내년 초에 한국에서 위성 인터넷 서비스를 출시할 것이라고 소식통이 전했다.
Starlink는 저궤도 위성을 이용해 전 세계 사용자에게 고속, 저지연 인터넷 서비스를 제공한다.
