Klook is set to launch a new product, Klook Private Taxi Tours, on Monday, aimed at enhancing the convenience of rural travel for international tourists.
This initiative follows the introduction of Klook's real-time express bus booking and payment service earlier this year, specifically designed for foreign tourists. The taxi tour promotion is expected to assist vacationers who encounter challenges in hiring private vehicles to reach less accessible tourist destinations.
A Klook representative stated that the website and mobile application recognize foreign tourists through their language options, enabling non-Korean tourists and foreigners residing in South Korea to access the private taxi tour menu and apply for the service.
Klook Private Taxi Tours will be available in four regions: Pyeongchang in Gangwon Province, Jecheon in North Chungcheong Province, Namwon in North Jeolla Province, and Suncheon in South Jeolla Province.
The tours will offer a range of programs lasting between three to eight hours, allowing visitors to explore two to five tourist attractions in each area. Taxis will accommodate up to four passengers.
In addition to the pre-arranged attractions, holidaymakers will have the flexibility to select extra travel sites of interest and customize their tour itineraries.
Moreover, travelers from the US and Taiwan intending to visit Jecheon, Namwon, and Suncheon can receive discounts of 10% and 12%, respectively, on Korail and express bus tickets booked through Klook until November 16.

이 여행 플랫폼의 실시간 고속버스 예약 및 결제 서비스는 올해 1월에 외국인 관광객만을 위해 개시되었으며, 새로운 택시 투어 프로모션은 비인기 장소의 관광지에 접근하는 데 어려움을 겪는 휴가객들에게 도움이 될 예정이다.
Klook 관계자는 “웹사이트와 모바일 애플리케이션은 언어 옵션을 통해 외국 관광객을 인식하여, 사용자(한국어를 사용하지 않는 관광객 및 한국에 거주하는 외국인)가 프라이빗 택시 투어 메뉴에 접근하고 투어를 신청할 수 있도록 하고 있다”고 전했다.
Klook 프라이빗 택시 투어는 강원도 평창, 충청북도 제천, 전라북도 남원 및 전라남도 순천의 총 네 지역에서 이용할 수 있다.
각 투어는 3시간에서 8시간의 프로그램으로 구성되어 있으며, 해당 지역의 2개에서 5개의 관광 명소를 방문한다. 택시에는 최대 4명까지 탑승할 수 있다.
정해진 관광 명소 외에도 휴가객들은 자신의 흥미로운 추가 여행지를 자유롭게 선택하고 맞춤형 투어 일정을 구성할 수 있다.
한편, 제천, 남원 및 순천을 여행하고자 하는 미국과 대만의 휴가객들은 Klook을 통해 코레일 및 고속버스 티켓을 예약할 경우 각각 10% 및 12%의 할인 혜택을 11월 16일까지 누릴 수 있다.
