The Coast Guard has located two bodies believed to be among those missing following a fishing boat fire off the southwestern coast. The incident occurred last Thursday morning in waters near Buan, North Jeolla Province, approximately 200 kilometers southwest of Seoul.
The fishing vessel, a 34-ton boat, caught fire, resulting in seven individuals being reported missing and five individuals rescued. Authorities have confirmed that genetic testing will be performed on the recovered bodies.
Search operations are ongoing to locate the remaining missing individuals, as stated by Coast Guard officials.

34톤 어선은 서울에서 약 200킬로미터 떨어진 부안 인근 해역에서 지난주 목요일 아침 화재가 발생했으며, 7명이 실종되고 5명이 구조됐다.
해양경찰에 따르면 발견된 두 구의 시신에 대한 유전자 검사도 실시될 예정이다.
관계자들은 현재 나머지 실종자를 찾기 위한 수색 작업이 진행 중이라고 밝혔다.
