San Francisco Giants outfielder Lee Jung-hoo has hit his first home run of the spring training season.
Lee launched a solo home run off Colorado Rockies starter Chase Dollander during the bottom of the first inning at Scottsdale Stadium in Scottsdale, Arizona, on Monday. The home run tied the game at 1-1, and the teams ultimately finished in a 2-2 tie.
Batting third and playing center field, Lee had not homered in a major league game since April of the previous year. He experienced a season-ending shoulder injury in May after colliding with the outfield wall at Oracle Park while attempting a catch.
In his rookie year in 2024, Lee recorded one home run during spring training and two more during the regular season over 37 games.
After two games this preseason, Lee's batting average stands at 2-for-5.
Lee was the only Korean player to participate on Monday. Kim Hye-seong of the Los Angeles Dodgers did not play in his team's 8-1 loss to the Cincinnati Reds. Meanwhile, Bae Ji-hwan of the Pittsburgh Pirates had his game against the Philadelphia Phillies rained out in Florida.

이정후는 2월 24일 애리조나주 스코츠데일 스타디움에서 열린 경기에서 콜로라도 로키스의 선발 투수 체이스 돌랜더를 상대로 첫 이닝 하단에서 솔로 홈런을 쳤다. 이 홈런은 우측 담장을 넘어가며 경기를 1-1 동점으로 만들었고, 두 팀은 최종적으로 2-2 무승부로 경기를 마쳤다.
이정후는 3번 타자로 출전하며 센터 필드를 맡았고, 지난해 4월 이후 빅리그 경기에서 첫 홈런을 기록했다. 그는 지난해 5월 샌프란시스코 오라클 파크에서 장쾌한 캐치를 시도하다 외야 담벽에 부딪혀 시즌이 끝나는 어깨 부상을 입었다.
2024년 신인으로서 이정후는 스프링 트레이닝에서 1개의 홈런, 정규 시즌에서 37경기 동안 2개의 홈런을 기록했다.
올해 스프링 트레이닝 두 경기 후 이정후의 타율은 5타수 2안타로 기록되고 있다.
월요일 경기에 출전한 한국 선수는 이정후가 유일했다. 로스앤젤레스 다저스의 김혜성이 애리조나에서 신시내티 레즈에 8-1로 패한 경기에서 출전하지 않았고, 피츠버그 파이레츠의 배지환은 플로리다에서 필라델피아 필리스와의 경기가 우천으로 취소되었다.
