R.LUX, the luxury beauty service of e-commerce giant Coupang, has appointed actor Kim Go-eun as its first brand ambassador, launching the "New Rule. New Luxury" advertising campaign, the company announced on Friday.
A representative from Coupang stated that Kim aligns well with R.LUX’s luxury image and that the collaboration aims to enhance public recognition and establish a distinct identity for the service as a pioneering luxury beauty platform.
The campaign highlights Kim’s unique and luxurious style, reflecting R.LUX’s core identities of being “fast, curated, and anywhere.” Kim is portrayed as a modern woman who embodies strength and sophistication while setting new trends with her originality.
The official emphasized that Kim was chosen for her exceptional acting talent, broad recognition, and high public favorability. The synergy between R.LUX’s innovative presence in the luxury beauty market and Kim Go-eun’s distinctive charm made her the ideal choice for the brand.
The campaign has been launched across major advertising platforms, including prominent landmarks in Seoul and various online channels.
Coupang introduced R.LUX last year to expand its footprint in the online beauty market. The R.LUX app has now been made available for download on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, following the launch of its Android version on Friday.

이번 캠페인은 김고은의 독창적이고 고급스러운 스타일을 보여주며 R.LUX의 세 가지 뚜렷한 정체성을 구현하고 있다: “빠르며, 큐레이션된, 어디서나”.
김고은은 독창성과 세련된 스타일로 새로운 트렌드를 선도하는 현대 여성의 강인함과 세련미를 발산한다.

쿠팡은 지난해 R.LUX를 소개하며 국내 온라인 뷰티 시장에서의 입지를 확장하고자 했다. 금요일 안드로이드 버전을 출시함에 따라 R.LUX 앱은 이제 구글 플레이 스토어와 애플 앱 스토어에서 다운로드할 수 있다.
