Tractors and trucks are at a standstill following police orders during a farmers' group protest calling for President Yoon Suk Yeol's impeachment in southern Seoul on March 25.
A group of farmers rallied with tractor-laden trucks in southern Seoul on Tuesday, demanding the president's impeachment. Members of the Korean Peasants League drove the trucks onto Namtaeryeong pass with plans to travel to Dongsipjagak near Gyeongbok Palace in downtown Seoul before staging a rally near Gwanghwamun gate in the evening.
Initially, the group intended to mobilize 20 tractors and 50 1-ton trucks; however, a court ruling the previous day limited the scale to only 20 trucks.
Reports indicate that police had no legitimate grounds to prevent the entry of trucks loaded with tractors. In response, right-wing YouTubers opposing Yoon's impeachment gathered at Namtaeryeong pass to block the march into Seoul.
No clashes were reported as police separated the two groups, although some farmers faced off with police officers attempting to minimize road congestion.
During the rally, the farmers' group chanted slogans such as "Tractor march is justified" and "Dismiss insurrection leader Yoon Suk Yeol."
The Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency deployed approximately 1,700 riot police from 27 units, while the Gyeonggi Nambu Provincial Police Agency dispatched 9 units to the scene.

이 그룹은 처음에 20대의 트랙터와 50대의 1톤 트럭을 동원할 계획이었으나, 전날 법원의 판결로 인해 트럭의 수가 20대로 제한되었다.
경찰은 트랙터가 실린 트럭의 진입을 저지할 정당한 근거가 없다고 전해졌다.
이에 대해 윤 대통령의 탄핵에 반대하는 우파 유튜버들이 남태령 고개에 모여 서울로의 행진을 저지하려 했다.
경찰이 두 그룹을 분리하면서 충돌은 보고되지 않았지만, 농민 그룹의 일부 회원들이 도로 혼잡을 최소화하려는 경찰과 대치했다.
집회 중 농민들은 "트랙터 행진은 정당하다"와 "윤석열은 퇴진하라"는 구호를 외쳤다.
서울지방경찰청은 27개 부대에서 약 1,700명의 폭력 진압 경찰을 배치했으며, 경기남부지방경찰청도 현장에 9개 부대를 파견했다.
