The Korean professional baseball league has announced a partnership with the nation's largest multiplex operator to broadcast games on big screens for the upcoming seasons.
The Korea Baseball Organization (KBO) and CJ CGV have formalized a two-year agreement to showcase Opening Day games, two regular-season games per week, All-Star Games, and all postseason games at select CGV theaters during the 2025 and 2026 seasons.
This follows a previous agreement signed in June last year, which allowed for the screening of one regular-season game per week and all postseason games in the fall.
For the current season, two out of five regular-season games will be chosen for viewing every Sunday. On the opening weekend of March 22 and 23, two games will be shown from both days at CGV theaters.
On March 22, the games featuring the NC Dinos against the Kia Tigers, and the Doosan Bears facing the SSG Landers will be screened. The following day, viewers can watch the Hanwha Eagles take on the KT Wiz and the Kiwoom Heroes play against the Samsung Lions. Tickets for these four games will be available for purchase on CGV's mobile app and website starting at 11 a.m. next Tuesday.
Additionally, the KBO will introduce the "CGV Scene-Stealer Award," selecting one player each month for their dramatic contributions on the field. Fans will vote for the winner, who will receive a prize of 1 million won (approximately $690) along with a CGV movie and dining package for two.

3월 22일에는 NC 다이노스와 기아 타이거즈의 경기, 두산 베어스와 SSG 랜더스의 경기가 상영된다. 다음 날인 3월 23일에는 한화 이글스와 KT 위즈의 대결, 키움 히어로즈와 삼성 라이온즈의 경기가 펼쳐진다. 이 네 경기의 티켓은 다음 주 화요일 오전 11시에 CGV의 모바일 앱과 웹사이트에서 판매될 예정이다.
KBO는 또한 매달 한 명의 선수를 선정하여 필드에서 극적인 순간을 만들어내는 새로운 "CGV 씬 스틸러 상"을 수여할 것이라고 밝혔다. 팬들의 투표로 선정된 수상자는 100만 원($690)의 상금과 CGV 영화 및 식사 패키지를 받을 예정이다.
