Taiwan’s 7-Eleven has announced the cancellation of a fan meeting featuring actor Kim Soo-hyun, originally scheduled for March 30. This decision follows allegations regarding Kim's past relationship with the late actress Kim Sae-ron, who was a minor at the time.
The cancellation was communicated through the official social media channels of Taiwan’s 7-Eleven, citing scheduling adjustments as the reason. The event had garnered significant attention as it would have marked Kim's first public appearance since the dating controversy emerged. Reports indicate that the cancellation fee is approximately 1.3 billion won ($970,000).
The controversy originated on March 10, when a YouTube channel claimed that Kim Soo-hyun had been in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron while she was underage, providing photos of the two together as evidence. In response, Kim’s agency confirmed that the two had dated but maintained that the relationship commenced only after Kim Sae-ron reached adulthood. Additionally, Kim Soo-hyun has filed a criminal complaint against the operator of the YouTube channel for blackmail and other charges.

이 논란은 3월 10일 유튜브 채널 Hoverlab이 김수현이 미성년자인 김새론과 관계를 가졌다고 주장하며 두 사람의 사진을 공개하면서 시작되었다.
김수현의 소속사는 두 사람이 실제로 교제한 사실을 인정했으나, 교제는 김새론이 성인이 된 이후에 시작되었다고 주장했다. 또한 김수현은 Hoverlab 운영자 김세의를 상대로 협박과 기타 혐의로 고소장을 제출했다.
