Korean tech giants LG Electronics and Samsung Electronics have received high evaluations for their refrigerators from a U.S. consumer magazine, according to industry sources.
LG refrigerators were recognized as the "Best Refrigerators of 2025" in two product categories selected by Consumer Reports.
In a different refrigerator model category, Samsung ranked first, followed closely by LG.
The evaluations were based on criteria including temperature control, temperature uniformity, and energy efficiency, along with a customer survey of hundreds of refrigerator models available in the U.S. market.
Samsung, LG, and other Korean brands hold a substantial presence in the U.S. refrigerator market, with their combined market share approaching 50 percent.
In a previous assessment by the U.S. magazine, LG and Samsung also ranked first in the washer and dryer combo categories, according to the sources.

이 평가는 온도 조절, 온도 균일성 및 에너지 효율성뿐만 아니라 미국 시장에서 판매되고 있는 수백 개의 냉장고 모델에 대한 고객 설문조사를 기반으로 진행되었다.
삼성과 LG, 그리고 기타 한국 브랜드들은 미국 냉장고 시장에서 중요한 존재감을 가지고 있으며, 시장 점유율이 거의 50%에 달하고 있다.
소식통에 따르면, 미국 잡지의 이전 평가에서는 LG와 삼성 두 기업이 세탁기와 건조기 콤보 부문에서 1위를 차지한 바 있다.
