Comedian Park Na-rae’s agency has addressed ongoing speculation surrounding a recent theft at her residence, confirming that a suspect has been arrested and denying rumors of insider involvement.
“We determined early on that the incident was a theft committed by an outsider and submitted CCTV footage from the home to the police on April 8,” Park's agency stated. “The police have since identified and arrested the suspect, and a warrant for detention has reportedly been issued. We are relieved that the suspect was swiftly apprehended, and we are grateful to the authorities for their efforts."
In response to online speculation suggesting the theft may have been an inside job, the agency firmly stated, “This is not true.” It also warned against the spread of baseless rumors, emphasizing, “False information is being recklessly circulated via online communities and social media. We will take strong legal action against such misinformation without leniency.”
An official from Park's team reported on April 8 that her home had been broken into and valuables stolen.
“The exact amount of the loss is still being assessed,” the official added.
