Hana Financial Group hosted Hana Artverse, an art fair designed for individuals with developmental disabilities, on Thursday. This event, now in its fourth year, aims to provide a platform for artistic expression and to foster awareness of disabilities.
This year, a total of 877 participants applied for the top award, marking a 1.5 times increase compared to the previous year. Thirty winners were selected, who will collectively receive a prize amount of 10.6 million won (approximately $7,466).
The Chairman of Hana Financial Group emphasized that painting serves as a powerful medium for individuals with developmental disabilities to express their experiences and share messages of hope. He reaffirmed the group's commitment to supporting these artists in their ongoing journeys and promoting a society that is free from prejudice and discrimination.
The winning artworks will be displayed at the Hana Bank headquarters gallery until Friday, after which they will be relocated to different venues for broader public viewing.

하나금융그룹의 함영주 회장은 "그림 그리기는 특히 자신의 이야기를 전하고 싶어하는 발달장애인들에게 그들의 삶을 표현하는 훌륭한 수단이 될 수 있다"며 "그림 작업 자체가 희망의 메시지를 공유하는 데 도움이 된다"고 말했다. 이어 "하나금융그룹은 편견과 차별이 없는 세상에서 이 아티스트들의 삶의 여정을 함께 할 것"이라고 강조했다. "장애인에 대한 사회적 이해와 인식을 높이기 위해 계속 노력할 것"이라고 덧붙였다.
수상작들은 금요일까지 하나은행 본점 갤러리에서 전시될 예정이다.
